Sea cucumbers are part of the Echinodermata. Their shape is similar to a cucumber, with a mouth on the side and tentacles used in feeding by digging up sediment and transferring it to their mouths. The sediment will be excreted on the opposite end. Sea cucumbers live on the seafloor up to 20 meters deep.

  1. Some other organisms live in some species of Sea cucumber’s anus.
  2. Most of them are 3-12 inches long, with some growing up to 6.5 feet or as small as .75 inches.
  3. Sea cucumbers protect themselves by ejecting white sticky liquid or some viscera to distract their predators.
  4. Sea cucumbers spend their larva stage as plankton.
  5. Sea cucumbers can live up to 10 years.
